Dark

Blinded by love,

a fool's fire,

ravaged by hate,

the temptress' guider,

I feel naught but pain,

sorrows and guilt.

I have but one ache,

the pain of repent.

Without he,

my light of the day,

my eyes would still be adjusted by the night,

that which hides my face,

my sorrows and guilt,

represses my redemption,

for the path of faith is the road I should not have undertaken.

This pain I feel,

deep inside,

is as real as the fires that die, all around me.

It shows my true color, my real strife.

I am but a memory,

naught but a spark.

I will light no fires,

I will show no truer colors.

I am that which shall remain,

Dark,

when all light will fade.

For Macy, friend and faultlessly loyal.
Just a poem I wrote for one of my friends about her feelings after a pretty bad break up. >-> Don't tell her.
